Sets up battery of machines that trim small arms cartridge
cases and artillery shell cases to specified length: Installs
cutters and adjusts stops and cams to regulate machine stroke
and synchronize movements of feeding, cutting, and ejection
mechanisms, using handtools. Sharpens dulled cutters and
polishes scratched punches, using bench grinder, speed lathe,
and eemry cloth. Removes housings, guards, feed tubes, chutes,
tool holders, and other accessories to replace worn or broken
parts, such as springs, bushings, and push-rods. May straighten
bent punches and machine parts, using hammer and anvil.
